Itinerary

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar arrival day

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and get transferred to the hotel.

Day 2: Sand Dunes in Elsen Tasarkhai

Head toward Elsen Tasarkhai early in the morning, visit Khogno Khan, a granite formation mountain, experience many forms of natural landscapes, Gobi sand dunes, forests and rocky mountains. Hike small sad dunes, camel trek through the Mini Gobi Desert.

Day 3: Horse Trekking

Set up horses and pack luggage, ride up to Shireet Mountain (altitude about 3000 meters), arrive to the biggest of eight lakes Shireet, camp.

Day 4: Horse Trekking to Khuis Lake

Trek to lake Khuis, pass lakes Khaliut Bugat, Khaya, and Shana, arrive at campsite and set up, stay at nomadic family Tserendorj’s guest ger near the lake.

Day 5: Horse Trekking to Buurug Valley

Horseback through Tsagaan Azarga Valley, stay at nomadic family Bat’s guest ger.

Day 6: Horse Trekking to Orkhon Waterfall

Last day of horse trekking, arrive at Hyatruun Valley, have lunch near White Lake, visit nomadic family Buyanjargal, visit Orkhon Waterfall

Day 7: Karakorum

Drive to Karakorum the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire, visit Erdenezuu Monastery and museum.

Head to Lake Ugii, swim and rest at the lake.

Day 10: City Tour and Shopping

Visit highlights of the city of Ulaanbaatar like the main square, Genghis Khan museum, Zaisan Hill and famous Gobi Cashmere shop.
